Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.C (SIPO) announced the nineteenth China Patent Awards. China Patent Recognition Award was granted to the patented invention of “M-crystal form of adefovir dipivoxil and its preparation method and application in drugs” developed by Fujian Cosunter Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
This invention offers a high-yield and high-purity M-crystal form of adefovir dipivoxil that can be easily prepared and used, as well as its preparation method and application in the drugs. Preparation method of M-crystal form of adefovir dipivoxil offered by this invention has been tested many times and the synthetic route meets the requirements of industrialized production. In addition to original technology, this method has the advantages of short synthetic route, easily available raw materials, mild reaction conditions, high yield and low production cost. Our AGD- adefovir dipivoxil tablet, has entered the market of more than 20 provinces (cities and districts) in China by means of public bidding (including additional bidding or filing, as well as military bidding and county-level bidding) by the end of 2016. The sales revenue is over RMB 600 million, profit is about RMB 200 million and over RMB 100 million taxes have been paid.
China Patent Award was set up by the SIPO in 1989 and it is the only governmental award to reward the patented inventions and recognized by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). China Patent Awards include China Patent Gold Award, China Patent Recognition Award, China Industrial Design Gold Award and China Industrial Design Recognition Award, which are intended to reward and commend the patentees and inventors (designers) for their great contributions to technological (design) innovation and economic and social development.
